Article Retraction Policy

The Journal of Agricultural Innovation and Sustainability (JAIS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and maintaining the reliability of the scholarly record. In certain circumstances, it may become necessary to retract published articles to correct the literature and ensure transparency in the research process.

Articles may be retracted if:

  1. Major Scientific Error:
There is a significant scientific error that invalidates the study’s conclusions. This includes cases where findings are shown to be unreliable due to misconduct (e.g., data fabrication or falsification) or honest error (e.g., miscalculation or experimental mistake).

  2. Redundant Publication:
The findings have been previously published elsewhere without appropriate citation, permission, or justification, constituting redundant or duplicate publication.

  3. Ethical Violations:
There is evidence of ethical misconduct, including but not limited to plagiarism (unauthorized use of another person’s ideas, data, or text), inappropriate authorship practices (e.g., guest, ghost, or honorary authorship), or misuse of confidential peer review information.

  4. Unethical Research Practices:
The article reports research conducted in violation of accepted ethical standards, such as lack of informed consent, improper treatment of research subjects, or falsification of ethical approvals.

  5. Delayed Payment:
The publication fee remains unpaid even after a grace period of 60 days from the due date, despite formal reminders from the journal’s editorial office.

JAIS follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure that all retraction decisions are fair, transparent, and made in accordance with best international publishing practices.
