The following ethical standards are mandatory for all authors submitting to the Journal of Agricultural Innovation and Sustainability (JAIS). Violation of these principles may result in penalties imposed by the Editorial Board, including but not limited to suspension or revocation of publishing privileges.
Authors must ensure that their research report and data include sufficient detail and appropriate references to allow others to reproduce the results.
Fabrication, falsification, or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are strictly prohibited.
Authors must submit only original work and properly cite or acknowledge the ideas, data, or words of others.
All forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, are unacceptable.
Verbatim material from previously published work must appear in quotation marks and be properly cited.
The plagiarism limit for manuscripts is 19%, with no single source exceeding 4%.
Authors must submit a signed declaration confirming that the manuscript is their original work and has not been submitted or published elsewhere.
Previously published material may be considered only if substantially revised, extended, or presented in limited circulation (e.g., conference proceedings).
Each co-author must have made a significant contribution to the study and approve the final version for submission.
Authors should not submit the same research to more than one journal simultaneously.
Republishing previously conducted research is allowed only if it includes substantial revisions, additional data, or improved analysis, and with prior consent of both editors.
All secondary publications must properly cite the original source.
Proper acknowledgment of others’ work is mandatory. Authors must clearly identify all data sources, quotations, and previously published ideas.
Contributions from individuals, organizations, or institutions—such as funding, technical assistance, or writing support—must be recognized in the “Acknowledgments” section.
Authors are expected to conduct an adequate literature review and cite relevant prior work.
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a substantial contribution to the research conception, design, data analysis, or manuscript preparation.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript and consented to submission.
Individuals who contributed to the study but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately.
Authors must protect the privacy and confidentiality of research participants.
Information identifying participants may be disclosed only with their informed consent.
If the participant is deceased, consent must be obtained from a family member or legal representative.
Only data relevant to the study’s purpose should be included.
Authors must provide raw data or supporting documentation if requested by the Editor to verify the integrity or validity of research findings.
Authors should avoid any manipulation or misrepresentation of images.
The process of image generation and modification must be clearly described to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Authors must disclose any potential financial, professional, or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the interpretation of results.
This includes employment, consultancies, honoraria, patents, grants, or funding sources.
All financial support should be acknowledged, along with the role of sponsors, if any, in the research process.
Authors may be required to sign a copyright agreement granting the journal the right to reproduce, distribute, and translate the article while retaining author rights under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
The review process typically takes 1–2 months or longer, depending on the complexity of the manuscript.
Authors will be notified of the editorial decision, which may include acceptance, revision, or rejection.
In the case of revisions, authors must submit a detailed response outlining the corrections made.
If rejected, authors may submit their manuscript elsewhere.
Authors have the right to appeal rejection decisions by formally contacting the Editor with justified reasons.
