Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Authors are strongly advised to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the following guidelines. Failure to comply may result in the return of the submission and delay the review or publication process.

General Submission Requirements

  • The submission must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal. If it has been submitted elsewhere, authors must clearly explain this in the “Comments to the Editor” section.

  • The manuscript must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or OpenOffice format.

  • The paper should be written in English, following clear and academic language standards.

  • The manuscript should be organized into the following main sections:
Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Analysis & Discussion, and Conclusion.

  • Submissions to peer-reviewed sections must adhere to blind review requirements (remove all identifying information from the manuscript).

  • All figures, tables, and illustrations must be properly inserted within the text and formatted according to the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style.

  • Non-compliance with these guidelines may result in the manuscript being returned to the author for revision before peer review.

Content and Length Requirements

  • Length: Manuscripts should range between 5,000 and 10,000 words, including the abstract, references, tables, figures, and appendices.

  • Title Page: The first page should contain the title, author(s)’ name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and contact information for the corresponding author.

  • Abstract: The abstract should be no more than 300–500 words and should summarize the key objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions of the study.

  • Keywords: Include three to five (3–5) relevant keywords for indexing and search purposes.

  • Citations and References: References should follow the latest edition of the APA style and maintain uniformity throughout the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or EndNote.

  • Figures and Tables: Each figure and table should be clearly labeled, numbered, and cited in the text.

  • Constructs and Variables: These should be written in full words rather than abbreviations for clarity and precision.

Plagiarism and Ethical Compliance

  • The manuscript must adhere to strict originality standards. The overall similarity index should not exceed 19%, and no individual source should exceed 4% similarity.

  • Submissions found to violate these limits will be returned for revision or may be rejected.

Formatting and Finalization

  • The final formatting and layout of accepted manuscripts will be completed by the JAIS editorial team before publication.

  • Authors should ensure that all elements—including references, tables, and figures—are accurate and complete prior to submission.

Note: These guidelines are specific to the Journal of Agricultural Innovation and Sustainability (JAIS) and may differ from those of other journals. Authors are encouraged to review and comply with these requirements carefully to ensure a smooth review and publication process.
